Since joining Surety Construction Company in 1999, Jeremy has successfully overseen a wide range of projects. With a construction career that began in 1995, he brings extensive experience, skill, and industry knowledge to every project he manages.

Over the past 26 years at Surety, Jeremy has led diverse projects spanning new construction, renovations, and restorations. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and strong collaboration with trade partners, he consistently delivers projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

On March 1, 2024, Jeremy became President of Surety Construction Company, marking a significant milestone in his 26-year tenure with the company and reflecting his long-standing leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

CYNTHIA FLOYD

SECRETARY~TREASURER/MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER

Cynthia has been the backbone of Surety Construction Company since 1983, leading the Accounting Department for 43 years and guiding the company through decades of growth and success. Her expertise encompasses far more than accounting—she oversees all aspects of the corporate business, including financial management, billing, human resources, payroll and certified payroll, contracts, change orders, job cost tracking, permitting, and the coordination of all insurance documentation. In short, Cynthia is the glue that holds the company together, ensuring smooth operations across every department.

Known for her unwavering dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and institutional knowledge, Cynthia is a trusted and steady presence in the company’s day-to-day operations. On March 1, 2024, she became the majority shareholder of Surety Construction Company, further cementing her leadership role and commitment to the company’s long-term growth, stability, and success.

JOHN HARDIN

VICE PRESIDENT/SHAREHOLDER

Since joining Surety Construction Company in 1999, John has successfully overseen numerous projects. With years of experience in the construction industry, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise to every project he manages.

John is committed to continuous learning and applies his knowledge to enhance project performance and efficiency. He is a FDEP Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector and serves as Assistant Safety Director for Field Operations. Over the past 27 years at Surety, John has been involved in a diverse range of projects, including new construction, renovation, and restoration work.

On March 1, 2024, John became Vice President of Surety Construction Company, marking a significant milestone in his 27-year tenure with the company and recognizing his dedication, leadership, and long-standing commitment to its success.

ERIC BJELLAND

VICE PRESIDENT/SHAREHOLDER

Eric joined Surety Construction Company in 2016 and, over the past 10 years, has proven to be an asset on every project he oversees. He began his career with Surety as an Assistant Superintendent, where he supported the project Superintendent in managing field personnel, coordinating daily and weekly schedules, and overseeing construction operations.

In this role, Eric managed field activities, assisted with on-the-job training, coordinated equipment and crews, supported multiple projects and teams, supervised subcontractors, and ensured that all assigned resources were maintained, secured, and utilized efficiently. He consistently carried out his responsibilities in alignment with the company’s policies and values.

Through his strong leadership, dedication, and performance, Eric has continued to take on greater responsibilities within the company and was appointed Vice President of Surety Construction Company on March 1, 2024.

TERRY KELLY

DIRECTOR/SHAREHOLDER/FOUNDER

A lifelong Florida resident, Terry grew up immersed in the construction industry. Since joining Surety Construction in 1979, a company founded by his father, David Kelly, Terry has worked his way through the ranks, gaining extensive knowledge in every aspect of construction. Known for his hands-on, no-nonsense approach, Terry has helped shape the company’s philosophy of excellence, evident in the consistently high-quality work that has earned numerous repeat clients. After serving as president since 1995 and decades of dedication, Terry semi-retired on March 1, 2024, while continuing to serve as a valued director and member of the Surety Construction family providing strategic guidance and knowledgeable insight.
